Broccoli Salad

This recipe is in English and Sinhalese 

Broccoli salad is a wonderful side dish that only takes a few minutes to make. This is such an awesome dish for a busy day. You can get creative with this dish and add pretty much anything into the salad. My Broccoli salad is tossed with a creamy mayonnaise dressing. This side dish is topped with sunflower seeds, red onion, dried cranberries, and a little bit of lime for a savory and sweet combination.

Broccoli is filled with health benefits, so take advantage of its nutritional superpowers.


  • 3 Cups Broccoli cut into bite-size pieces

  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise 

  • 1 Tbsp Sunflower Seeds 

  • 1/3 Cup Onion 

  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Cashews 

  • 1/8 Tsp of Salt 

  • 1/4 Tsp of Pepper 

  • 1/8 Cup Dried Cranberries

  • 1/8 Cup Raisins 

  • Lime Wedge   

How to Make  

Wash the Broccoli thoroughly, we are using raw broccoli for this recipe 

Cut the washed broccoli into bite-size pieces and add to a bowl 

Add dried cranberries, Raisins, Sunflower seeds, Chopped Cashews, salt & pepper, Mix well 

Mix Mayonnaise and give it a toss 

Add Lime juice 

Mix everything well and serve 

Tip: Keep in the fridge for 15 minutes for better taste
