Chocolate Ice Cream

This is an amazing healthier version of Chocolate Ice cream that you can make at home without Ice cream maker. I haven’t used any sugar or condensed milk for this recipe. It’s so simple and delicious, so this is a great alternative for people who are trying to cut down sugar in their diet. Once you taste this recipe, you will get addicted and you won’t go back to store-bought ice cream anymore. 

This healthy chocolate ice cream made with wholesome and natural ingredients (no added/unnatural sugars), Enjoy 

Ingredients

  • 1 Can Coconut milk | about 1 full cup 

  • 1/3 Cup Unsweetened cocoa or cacao powder 

  • 7 oz Dates| About small 25 dates 

  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla 

  • 1/4 Cup Milk

Instructions

  • Keep the coconut milk or can in the fridge until water separates from the milk. This will take a few hours ( It's better to keep in the fridge the night before ) 

  • Now let’s make Dates into a paste 

  • Keep the dates in hot water for 10 minutes to soften or simply microwave for 2 minutes 

  • Now remove the pits and seeds, add few Tbsp water and make a paste

  • Beat in the previously prepped thick coconut milk like so

  • Add in the Cocoa Powder 

  • Add dates paste into the mixture 

  • Freeze for 5 hours 

  • Keep outside for 20-30 minutes before using 

For added health benefits, you can replace Cocoa powder with Cacao powder.
