Halloween Mummy Pizza | Vegan

This cute & creepy Halloween mummy pizza is perfect for Halloween night! Cute, creepy, spooky, and DELICIOUS! Here are all the tips and tricks you need to know to make this mind-blowing Halloween pizza. 

It’s crazy to think that Halloween is just around the corner. I hope you get to have fun in Halloween with your family. Stay safe out there. 



Ingredients


For the Dough 

  • 1 Tbsp yeast 

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1/2 cup warm water for the yeast

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1/2 + cups warm water for the dough

  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp salt

For the Pizza Sauce

  • 8 tbsp marinara sauce or tomato sauce

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp parsley or any other herb

  • Chili flakes 

  • Any preferred pizza topping 



Few Tips before we begin

  • The temperature of the warm water should not be hot, it will kill the yeast. It shouldn’t feel too hot against the skin. The temperature should feel like a warm bath. 

  • If you find the dough is too sticky add a little extra flour. If it seems too dry add a little water. 

  • Follow the instructions in the video to get a clear idea of the formation of the mummy shape. 

  • Use a Black Olive for the eye, you can also use blueberry for the eye as well. Remember not to bake the eye. After baking simply place the eye with some vegan cheese on top.

  • For the toppings, I used vegan sausage and some bell pepper


How to Make


  1. First let's dissolve the yeast by mixing yeast, warm water, and sugar in a bowl, set it aside for 10 minutes or until the mixture will get foamy 

  2. Mix in flour and salt into a big bowl. 

  3. Make a well in the middle of the mixture

  4. Into the well, add the olive oil and yeast mixture. 

  5. Begin to mix gently. Slowly add the rest of the 1/2 cup of warm water. 

  6. Continue mixing while adding little water at a time.  

  7. When you can form the dough into a ball, stop adding water. 

  8. The dough shouldn’t be sticky. 

  9. Knead the dough for 2 minutes. At this point Dough should be smooth and soft.

  10. Form the dough into a ball. Place the dough in a greased bowl. 

  11. Cover with a dish towel and set it aside for at least 30 minutes or until it has doubled in size.

  12. While the dough rises, you can prepare the cauliflower cheese. 

  13. Click Here to get the link to my vegan cauliflower cheese recipe. If you are nonvegan and don't want to do this extra step, you can use cheese as well. But trust me, you will be mind blown by this.You can also simply avoid the cheese if you are not a cheese fan.  

  14. Now let's prepare the marinara sauce 

  15. Simply mix the spices with the tomato sauce 

  16. Preheat the oven to 400F 

  17. The dough should now be done rising and doubled in size. Punch the air out with your hands.

  18. Divide the dough in half. We just need one half for this m

  19. Flatten the dough thin. About 1/4 inch thick. Rolled it into oval a shape

  20. Place the prepared sauce mixture in the middle, leaving 1-2 inch of the edges clean from both side

  21. Now add the vegan cauliflower cheese on top. At this point, you can add any toppings you like.  

  22. Now fold it into the shape of a mummy. Please watch this short video for clarification. 

  23. Optional: Sprinkle top with some salt. Spray some oil on top for a beautiful glossy finish. I did apply some leftover marinara sauce for the look of dried blood in the mummy. I used a Blueberry for the eye and little vegan cheese on top. 

  24. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Increase the temperature to 425f and bake additional 10 minutes
