Peanut Butter Cookies

This is a simple & quick cookie recipe for the upcoming holidays. Baking these rich & tasty cookies are the best way to gather your family around. This is easy to make a Classic Peanut butter recipe and you can enjoy with Tea or Coffee. 

Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup Peanut Butter Room temperature 

  • 1/2 Cup White sugar

  • 3/4 Cup Butter Room temperature

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 Tsp Baking Powder 

  • 2 Cup All purpose flour

  • 1 Tsp Vanilla extract extract

  • 1/4 Tsp Salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) 

  • Line your baking pans with parchment paper (I used two pans )

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the butter until smooth Add the sugar and vanilla extract.

  • Beat until mixed well Now incorporate peanut butter

  • Scrape down the sides and bottom of your bowl

  • Add the egg and beat to combine

  • In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt

  • Add the flour mixture to peanut butter mixture and beat together

  • This should make the perfect batter

  • If the batter is too soft to form into balls, place in the refrigerator for about a 30 minutes 

  • Roll the batter into 2 inch balls Flatten the cookies using a bottom of a glass

  • Then, using a fork, make crisscross patterns Sprinkle some granulated white sugar on top

  • Refrigerate for 15 mins (optional)

  • Bake the cookies for about 15 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly browned around the edges

  • Tip: Rotate your baking sheet front to back about halfway through baking remove from oven and place on a wire rack to cool.
