Peanut Butter Cookies
This is a simple & quick cookie recipe for the upcoming holidays. Baking these rich & tasty cookies are the best way to gather your family around. This is easy to make a Classic Peanut butter recipe and you can enjoy with Tea or Coffee.
Ingredients
3/4 Cup Peanut Butter Room temperature
1/2 Cup White sugar
3/4 Cup Butter Room temperature
1 Egg
1 Tsp Baking Powder
2 Cup All purpose flour
1 Tsp Vanilla extract extract
1/4 Tsp Salt
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C)
Line your baking pans with parchment paper (I used two pans )
In a mixing bowl, beat the butter until smooth Add the sugar and vanilla extract.
Beat until mixed well Now incorporate peanut butter
Scrape down the sides and bottom of your bowl
Add the egg and beat to combine
In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt
Add the flour mixture to peanut butter mixture and beat together
This should make the perfect batter
If the batter is too soft to form into balls, place in the refrigerator for about a 30 minutes
Roll the batter into 2 inch balls Flatten the cookies using a bottom of a glass
Then, using a fork, make crisscross patterns Sprinkle some granulated white sugar on top
Refrigerate for 15 mins (optional)
Bake the cookies for about 15 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly browned around the edges
Tip: Rotate your baking sheet front to back about halfway through baking remove from oven and place on a wire rack to cool.
